December Poll: When will Alex finally join our family?

I love polls and thought it would be fun to start one of my own (in the right-hand column, not in this post)! As many pregnant women have their family and friends guess fun things like the sex, weight, due date, etc, I thought it would be fun to have people guess our theoretical due date: the day Alex officially joins our family! However, being that there is no timely biological force behind this "due date" (rather government bureaucracies and wait lists), I've decided to have people guess our theoretical due month. 

So, for the month of December, you will be able to cast your vote as to which month Alex will finally join our family! As you hem and haw over which month to choose, here is what we know about the prospective timeline at this time:

• According to our agency, the wait to travel could be "up to" 11 months (September 2011).

• At this time, families are waiting around 7-8 months to travel (May/June 2011).

• We have been told that our wait will probably be longer than what families are currently experiencing. (BOO! July? August?)

• It has been said that the only thing predictable about the adoption process is that nothing is predictable. So true. 

• Being optimistic can make the wait harder. (It could happen anytime(!)... but it didn't happen today. Sad face.)

• Being pessimistic can make the wait more depressing. (It will never happen! The whole world is against us! <insert super high-pitched violin solo here>) 

• I like to be optimistic :)
