This post is for family and friends who have been asking me how to post a comment. I admit, it is a bit more complicated than it needs to be. If any fellow bloggers out there know of a way I could make this easier, please comment on this post (lol) and tell me about it!
All right, let's get started. As you read this post, go through the steps as you read them. If you can't think of a comment, you can just reiterate how cute Alex is. Include as many exclamation points as possible you see fit.
Also, I REALLY LIKE COMMENTS! I would love if this blog turned into more of a dialog and less of me spewing my thoughts into outer space. However, since I know that more than just close family and friends are reading this blog, please try not to give away too much personal information. Thanks. Okay, less typing, more commenting...
Step 1: If you are on the main page of my blog, click on the title of the post for which you would like to comment. (You can also click on the comment button at the very end of the post by where is says "Posted by Jen" but if this confuses you, just stick with the title.) If the title is "unclickable," then skip to step 2.
Step 2: Scroll down to where it says "POST A COMMENT."
Step 3: Underneath the comment box it says "Comment as: (select profile)." Click the arrow to the right of the "select profile" window and choose "Name/URL."
Step 4: Include your name and LEAVE THE URL SPACE BLANK (this space is for fellow bloggers).
Step 5: Write your comment.
Step 6: Click the "Post Comment" button.
Step 7: Now a window will come up with a bunch of random letters in it. You will have to type those letters and press "submit" or whatever the button says. The purpose of this is to keep spammers from posting on my blog.
Step 8: (optional) You can subscribe to comments, but I admit, I'm not exactly sure how this works yet, SO, check back on your comment if you would like because I really do try to respond to all comments.

HEY, even I did it - and that is a miracle! I have the e-mails coming, so I can see when there is a new post. I added your blog into my favorites. I can go to the bottom of the page and click on new posts or older posts to go back and forth. I go to Select Profile, go to Name/URL, type in my name, leave URL blank, preview my post, type in the funny word and click on something and I'm good to go. Oh YEA, I posted that Alex would be here in July, but I'm voting for July 9th-the birthdate of my mother and I. Simon kitty is up on my lap looking at my vote, and he agrees-lol!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Mom, nice work! I think you are a pro at posting comments now! And that would be awesome if Alex came home on your and G-ma's birthday - however, I'm still hoping it will be earlier than that. I voted for May! Keeping the optimism!
